What people think, next to what they actually know

ActPol respondents answer a short competency check before they give their opinion. We publish both — segmented by who could demonstrably back up their view, and who couldn't.

No cycle is running right now. Registering keeps your code ready for the one that is.

Two questions, in order

1. What do you know

A short check against a cited, verifiable fact — not a values question. Every item can be checked afterward, once the cycle publishes.

2. What do you think

The opinion question, on the same topic. Your view is recorded either way — competency segments the results, it doesn't gate them.

What we claim, and what we don't

  • Opinion from people who took the same competency check, on the same topic, in the same month.
  • Every competency answer key and citation, published once the cycle closes — check our work.
  • Scoring computed server-side, the same way for everyone, every time.
  • That our respondents represent the general public. The sample is self-selected.
  • A single national figure. You will not see “68% of Hungarians” from us — only what ActPol respondents said.
  • That competency implies correctness of opinion. It only tells you who could back up what they think.

Previous cycles

No cycle has published its findings yet. This is where they will be listed, with their answer keys, once the first one does.
